I love the BBC Radio 4 programme Desert Island Discs, I currently have 198 episodes from the archive waiting patiently on my iPod. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the show which invites interesting (mostly very famous) people to tell us the 8 discs they would take with them to a desert island – and which book and luxury they couldn’t live without. Transworld will be publishing two books celebrating the anniversary, “Desert Island Discs: The 70th Anniversary” and “Desert Island Discs: Flotsam and Jetsam”. Both will be released later in the year and are bound to be the perfect Christmas presents for anyone who is a fan (just a hint).
