After the news last week that Joss Whedon would be returning to write and direct The Avengers 2, Walt Disney Studios and Marvel have gone one step further and announced that the sequel to this year’s superhero behemoth would be released on May 1 2015. Just over two and a half years away. Although there’s been no firm news on casting all the big stars are expected to return including Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans – presumably though everyone has to finish their respective sequels first.
I’m already looking forward to The Avengers 2, but I’m not getting into geeky fangirl mode. Yet.
